Off of their upcoming Spring 2021 album of the same title, MercyMe on Friday announced the release of their latest single, “Say I Won’t.” They made their big announcement on the release to social media on Thanksgiving. In addition to the new track, the band also created a new video which can be seen below.
About the video and track, the band shares about a man named Gary Miracle who lost his legs and his arms after falling into septic shock in January of 2019. He was immediately airlifted to a hospital. At the end of the video, the band shares that Gary is still waiting for new casts to be created for his legs.
FOX News, on Thursday, premiered the video on their Entertainment page.
“It’s incredibly overwhelming to see Gary’s situation,” Millard told Fox News. “But to watch his wife and kids… what they’re going through and standing by and supporting him is mind-blowing – it feels like it’s a whole other level of love…” Millard told Fox News when talking about why they wanted to get his story out to the world.
