The iconic Grammy nominated, multiple American Music Award, Billboard Music Award and Dove Award-winning band MercyMe, on Wednesday, released a new cinematic music video of their song, “On Our Way.” Featuring frontman Bart Millard’s son, Sam Wesley, the video was recorded and filmed by Lipscomb University’s Cinematic Arts program.

“A dream of Bart Millard and Grammy Award winning producer Brown Bannister, Imagine House is a place that will give the next generation of storytellers a platform to create professional content for the marketplace. This music video represents the work of students and faculty in the school of theatre and cinematic arts, led by music legend and filmmaker Steve Taylor,” shares Mike Fernandez, Dean of College of Entertainment and the Arts at Lipscomb University, in an exclusive statement to Apostles That Rock.

Steve Taylor is an inspiring a recording artist who has sold over one million albums and has received two Grammy nominations. With an impeccable resume as a music producer, his notable recognition comes via three gold-certified albums for the Newsboys and the platinum-certified band Sixpence None The Richer, including their smash hit, “Kiss Me.”

In addition to the notoriety, Taylor’s career has lead him into creating films such as, “The Second Chance” and “Blue Like Jazz.”

Steve Taylor currently serves as Director of the School of Theater and Cinematic Arts at Lipscomb University.

“A special thanks to Jeff Bates, the drone racer/operator, who did his best not to harm any humans while flying around their heads and through their legs. Imagine House has two other major projects in development, an animated series by Mike Nawrocki, co-creator of Veggie Tales, called The Dead Sea Squirrels and a sports documentary on Super Bowl winning quarterback Trent Dilfer called The Music City Mustangs. We are thankful for the trust Bart and the band put in us to partner on such a fun project. We are truly on our way!”

On April 30, MercyMe released their latest album, “Inhale (Exhale),” and is currently on all digital and retail platforms. Watch the new video for “On Our Way” below.
