Our hearts are heavy as we watched from computer screens, TVs, and phones as protesters stormed the US Capitol on Wednesday. Hearing from many readers, many were saddened and shocked. We looked toward peace in the midst of adversity and terror.
On Wednesday, Christian group Love & the Outcome spoke out on social media to express the anger that we all share, ask for peace, and to pray for our lawmakers.
“I opened up my phone and had to put it away because my kids were asking me where this was happening… America honey,” shares Chris and Jodi. “This is not a protest, this is hate, idolatry and privilege on full display. What in the world has happened to democracy? Praying for all members of Congress.”
